Recent News - Third Grade Pen Pals
The current senior class at Scales Mound High School back in 2006-2007 when they were members of Mr. Kudronowicz's third grade class. This year they have partnered with the third grade as pen pals.

Pen Pals: The third graders have been working with letter writing throughout the month of February. In order to complete this skill, the students have been writing back and forth with the senior class of Scales Mound High School. The students have formed a strong bond through their letter writing and have enjoyed the project very much. The students are responsible for creating a letter to their pen pal which addresses information and asks at least 3 questions. At the beginning of each week, the seniors produce response letters to the third graders. By midweek, the third graders read their letters and begin writing their response letters. By the end of the week, the letters and envelopes are given to the seniors for their reply. This project has been a blast. Thank you seniors for your involvement in the project!
